Solidarity faced with the murder of three doctors close to the PSOL in Brazil

Three doctors were murdered on Thursday 5 October in Rio de Janeiro: Marcos de Andrade Corsato, Perseu Ribeiro Almeida and Diego Bomfim, brother of PSOL federal deputy Sâmia Bomfim and brother-in-law of federal deputy Glauber Braga.

There is every indication that this crime was committed by a group of militiamen with well-known links to the far right and former president Jair Bolsonaro. While the exact motives for this execution have yet to be determined, it should not be forgotten that these same militia groups were responsible for the murder of comrade Marielle Franco in 2018, a murder that has caused a great stir in Brazil, with President Lula intervening to denounce the execution.

We offer our full solidarity to the comrades of the PSOL, of the MES in particular, and to Sâmia Bomfim.

Our international struggle against fascism is more relevant than ever.
