The consequences for the Turkish economy will be huge: in one day, the Turkish currency (lyra) lost almost 17% of its value against the dollar, dropping 37% of its value against the dollar since the beginning of the year.

But one item will overshadow all others – whether the position on the IHRA definition of antisemitism and its associated ‘examples’ taken at the last NEC meeting will be maintained or whether the meeting will cave in in the face of relentless pressure.
