General election: Labour must present a radical alternative
2 May 2017, byBritish Prime Minister Theresa May has called a general election for June 8th hoping that Labour has been sufficiently weakened by the attacks of the right on the Corbyn leadership that she will be rewarded with a further five years in office. It is of course complete co-incidence that rumours had started to emerge that the Crown Prosecution Service were about to move against 30 individuals for electoral fraud in the last general election.

1 May 2017, byIn the years since the Arab Spring began the international left has become increasingly divided over Syria, particularly as the revolution turned into a civil war with plenty of interference from outside. As a result, the left has diverged into at least three main camps: those who see Western imperialism as the main foe, and others who claim Western intervention is vital for the Syrian rebels to triumph. But these two postures are not the only positions available.
