Transcribing Daniel Bensa´d

Monday 13 February 2017

Daniel Bensa´d (1946-2010) was one of the most innovative contemporary Marxists, a leading figure of May ĺ68, and an influential French public intellectual. Bensa´d wrote and lectured widely on burning issues of theory, strategy, history and philosophy in a number of works such as Marx for Our Times, Strategies of Resistance, and a moving autobiography - An Impatient Life: A Political Memoir.

During the eighties and nineties, Bensa´d delivered a number of lectures in a number of lectures in Amsterdam to the International Institute for Research and Education. In more than 25 hours of lectures, Bensa´d discusses Marxist concepts of the party, history of the Fourth International, Spanish and Cuban Revolutions, and much more.

You can find the recordings here.

We believe that Bensa´d’s work is especially relevant for organizers and strategists discussing contemporary problems and deserves to be widely known. To that end, we would like to transcribe Daniel Bensa´d’s lectures. If you want to help transcribe these files, please contact: Douglas Greene: greene.douglas@ymail.com
